Job Description
- Responsibilities for market development
- Manage marketing activities
- Define global marketing and market development strategies aligned to the strategic plan and work with Market Development to execute the strategies to drive revenue and income targets
- Develop messaging & tools that communicate the value/brand directly to customers through multiple channels, including sales force, and digital marketing
- Lead and drive strategy, cross-business coordination and tactical execution for selected Central and South America-based trade shows and conferences, from large international conferences, to smaller local workshops and seminars
- Develop and maintain marketing and communication tools
- Develop an effective strategy to achieve organizational sales, web conference goals, direct marketing, and cold calling
- Prepare feasibility reports, competitive demographic analyses, Profit & Loss forecasts, and make recommendations for a business case for growth and development opportunities
- Collect, compile and analyze pertinent information in order to establish realistic goals for the product line, consistent with overall division goals of growth and profitability
- Drive market and business strategy, project management inclusive of annual marketing and business planning
- Engage with the local leadership team to promote, integrate and meet the sales office objectives
Requirements
- Qualifications for market development
- Experience in the shipping and powerplant industry
- Problem analytical/critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of competitor base
- Proven record of demonstrating initiative and delivering results
- 5 years of marketing and/or project management experience required
